This double page spread like many others has the image dominating the two pages. The image is dominating and powerful with the use of eye contact with the reader allures the readers in. The costume of this artist suggests with the black dress and shoes her mystery and her femininity , the black clothing portrays sexy and loving emotions which compares to the text ' The love'. Secondly , the props in this image are ironic to the interview , as the artist is stood on the American Flag and the text mentions ' With America at her feet' , this shows the irony in a picture very subtly. The interview is concealed to the right hand side away from the image , in the text it explains the beginning of the artist and her accomplishments. The main title is also ironic , ' Got the love' which is one of her major hit songs in America. The colours used are contrasting ( Black and white and Red and blue) , the blue text highlights her name to the reader and again draws the readers in.
